Madeleine Bickert, lead designer of Décor Rx, combines proven marketing skills, a bottom-line approach, and a creative flair. Her work and decorating ideas have been showcased in Cape Cod View, Prime Time Cape Cod, the Cape Cod Voice and other regional publications.

In 1989, she earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of California – Irvine, specializing in services marketing. The faculty named her the Top Marketing Student of her graduating class. Her master’s thesis on curb appeal analyzed marketing strategies for home sellers in the depressed southern California real estate market.

She then spent a decade working in high-level corporate marketing positions before turning her talents to individual homeowners and interior design. To prepare for this transition, she completed a two-year certificate program in Decorative Arts at the Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia, PA.

In addition to helping clients, Madeleine has successfully staged several homes of her own. In 2006, a Victorian home she decorated in a Philadelphia suburb received four sales offers after just two weeks on the market. The final price set a neighborhood record, despite the large inventory of competing homes.

She is a native of Massachusetts and an editorial contributor to design and lifestyle magazines including Cape Cod View and Home Remodeling: Cape Cod, The Islands and the South Coast.
